Conquering the world from a garage
From a two-man operation founded in the middle of the last century, there grew an international player. And PLASTON is still growing.
Start 1956
PLASTON's history started on the 6th of February 1956. The founder, Hans Frei made his first plastic product with his son Roland in his parent's house in Widnau, in the Swiss Rhine Valley. They made products for the household sector and regional industry, maintaining their independence – even in times of economic uncertainty, this worked extremely well for them.
Milestone 1966
Hans and Roland Frei invested in large machinery to counter the cheap imports from the Far East. They now have a better hold over rising labour costs and continue to project the company's profile. In 1966, PLASTON is among the few companies in the field of competitors that can produce large plastic products.
Change in leadership 1973
Roland Frei, son of the company founder Hans Frei, took over management of PLASTON.

Third generation 2013
